Guitar Workshops and Master Classes
The Toronto Rock Camp's Guitar Workshops and Master Classes are intensive one week sessions. Featuring a staff to student ratio of 4:1, Guitar Workshops and Master Classes will help young musicians accelerate their ability with instruction and guest clinics from some of the music industry's leading musicians and teachers. Small class sizes limited to eight students or less result in exceptional one on one instruction.
Guitar Workshop and Master Class Level 1: "The Guitar Boot Camp"
This Program is for students who have been playing for less than 6 months and want an intensive experience geared towards beginners.
Topics covered include basic chord voicings, power chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, introduction to major & minor pentatonic, guitar techniques, music theory, and much more.
The students will learn how to perform and apply these skills with a rhythm section. Focused upon Rock Music, Level 1 is great program for both acoustic and electric players.
Typical Daily Schedule
9:00 to 11:00 Instrument or Theory Class
11:00 to 12:00 Special clinic or Rhythm Section
12:00 to 1:00 Lunch
1:00 to 3:00 Instrument Class
3:00 to 4:00 Rythm Section or Special Clinic
Guitar Workshop and Master Class Level 2: Intermediate Guitar
Level 2 classes are available for guitarists of intermediate playing level.
Level 2 students will focus on scales, modes, arpeggios, advanced chords and progressions, as well as lead techniques, phrasing, harmonics & guitar tone, and use of equipment/effects.
The students will learn how to apply these skills with a rhythm section in daily classes.
